Badla Movie Review–4****

The duo of acclaimed film Pink Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu are back this time with a suspense thriller Badla and mind you unlike the movie, I will not keep you hooked till the end of my read to let you know whether it is a one time affair or a must watch. It has got the most positive reviews from critics and mine too is one of them. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh of Kahaani fame, it is an official adaptation of Spanish film The Invisible Guest, shot in the exotic location of Glasglow Scotland. The movie begins with the murder charges on Tapsee who is a business woman winning the business leader of the year. Amitabh is the best lawyer who has not lost a single case in his 40 years tenure, who is retiring but takes the case of Tapsee to defend her in the court. Both the lead characters are talking in a room explaning how it happened and Tapsee claims that she is innocent being framed.  You will be surprised there is not a single court scene and it is a songless movie.

This is not a spoiler review, so go and get entertained with some great performances by the lead and a great performance by Amrita Singh after 2 States. You will be on the edge of your seats throughout the 2 hours and the climax will surprise you totally. Take a bow for Sujay Ghosh in telling this entertaining tale.
